About Rotary Peace Fellowship 2025-26

Rotary Peace Fellowship 2025-26 is a fully funded international fellowship program for international students pursuing a Master’s degree program and a Professional Development Certificate Program. This  Fellowship is designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. This fellowship is available for 50 master’s degrees and up to 80 certificate studies students and covers tuition fees, room and board, round-trip, and internship and field-study expenses to the successfully selected students.

Rotary Peace Fellowship 2025-26 was offered by the Rotary Peace Center. Rotary Peace Center is the branch of the Rotary International Form that began in 2022, the rotary Peace Center has trained more than 1,700 fellows who work in over 140 countries. Many serve as leaders in governments; NGOs; education and research institutions; peacekeeping and law enforcement agencies; and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank.

Scholarship Benefits/Coverage

Eligibility Criteria

Master’s degree candidates must also:

  • Be proficient in English.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace through their professional and academic achievements, as well as personal or community service.
  • Show leadership potential.
  • Have a minimum of three years of full-time relevant experience in peace or development work.
  • Maintain a gap of at least three years between the completion of their most recent academic degree program and the intended start date for the fellowship. Candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are not eligible to apply.
  • Rotary Peace Fellows who have completed the certificate program or a Global Grant Scholarship must wait three years between the end date of that program and their intended start date for the fellowship.
  • Applicants with disabilities and individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to people with disabilities.
  • Applicants cannot be active Rotary members or employees of a Rotary club, Rotary International, or any other Rotary entity.
  • Rotaract club members who are not also Rotary club members are eligible to apply.

Certificate candidates must also:

  • Be proficient in English.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have at least five years of full-time relevant experience in peace or development work.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace through professional, academic, or community achievements.
  • Exhibit leadership skills.
  • Align their peace promotion plan with Rotary’s mission.
  • For Makerere University candidates: Be from Africa, have worked in Africa, work with African communities or initiatives outside the continent, or demonstrate a strong interest in learning about peacebuilding in the region.
  • For Bahçeşehir University candidates: Be from the Middle East or North Africa, have worked in the region, work elsewhere with communities or initiatives related to the Middle East or North Africa, or demonstrate a strong interest in learning about peacebuilding in the region.
  • Have a gap of at least three years between completing their most recent academic degree program and the intended start date for the fellowship.
  • Wait three years after completing a Rotary Peace Fellowship master’s program or Global Grant Scholarship before starting the fellowship.
  • Encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities.
