Scholarship Benefits/ Coverage

  • €10,000 stipend
  • Full Fee Waiver

This scholarship provides a €10,000 stipend to the successful applicants for one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level. The awardees’ host higher education institutions are required to give a full fee waiver to the awardees for the year of their scholarship. Successful scholars will be expected to commence their studies in either September or October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Required Languages: Applicants must be experts in English to be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarships.
  • Eligible countries: Applicants must be from Outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.
  • Applicants must enroll for one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level.
  • Applicants are expected to have a good academic record and must the academic requirements set by the Higher education institution.
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills.
  • Applicants should provide evidence of participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Applicants cannot hold a scholarship from more than one Irish government scholarship scheme at the same time.
  • Due to the continued aggression of Russia in Ukraine, Russian and Belarussian national are not eligible to apply
